Livingstone Design Group creates inspired design experiences that evoke a distinct sense of place, while delighting the world's most discriminating property owners and travelers. Barrie Livingstone has visited 46 countries to date and is fascinated by how the well healed like to travel and how people occupy their dwellings across the world.
True hospitality begins with extraordinary accommodations. Livingstone Design Group provides creative interior design concepts and has the experience to deliver the designs and furnishings on time and within budget. We are a boutique firm specializing in: hospitality, residential and yacht interiors.
By managing the procurement of the entire FF&E process we eliminate the need for an additional project manager. We work closely with the Architect and General Contractor in the planning, building and installation phases. Livingstone Design Group has forged strong relationships with manufacturers on local, national and global levels and efficiently utilizes vendors based on: quality, location and cost. This ensures that the approved design concept becomes a reality that will endure the rigorous demands of the hospitality industry.
We strive to set new standards for luxury, comfort and innovation in all our interiors and look forward to working with you on your next exciting project!
As you look through our body of work, you will see that careful consideration is given to the architectural style of the projects’ location and lifestyle in the surrounding area. You will also notice that no projects look alike as Barrie delights in creating designs that belong to his clients.
Some words from Barrie
The form-follows-function principal established by Mies Van Der Rohe is the basis of Barrie’s designs.
”A square room can become almost anything: a gourmet kitchen, a movie theater, a sexy bedroom, a thumping disco, or a diva’s wig room. Don’t laugh, it has been done!”
“When I first see a space in person or on plan, I am immediately drawn to anything that needs to be corrected”
“Good style is all about correct proportion and context”

What is NCIDQ, National Council for Interior Design Qualification
Earning an NCIDQ Certificate is an important milestone for any interior designer. In today’s increasingly competitive marketplace, an NCIDQ Certificate demonstrates that you are uniquely qualified through education, experience and examination to competently practice interior design.
Today clients and the public expect interior design professionals to demonstrate their competency in all areas of interior design. It is not enough for a provider of interior design services to understand just the aesthetics. The designed safety of interiors for home owners, business owners or users of public and private spaces requires much more in today’s complex world. More than 25,000 individuals around the world have earned the prestigious NCIDQ Certificate,
